ABOUT HIV
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) attacks the bodies immune system. HIV symptoms include fever, chills, rashes, muscle aches. HIV has three stages; Acute HIV infection, Chronic HIV infection and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). HIV AIDS affects decrease immunity and can lead to infections in a persons body and reduce the life span. HIV can be spread through sexual contact, blood contamination and needles, children affected by HIV virus can be affected by their mothers infected with the virus. Commonly in country with low-socioeconomic background and poor health and water sanitation.
The children at Happy Indian Village are infected by HIV in India and dont have access and cannot afford healthcare, sanitation to treat their condition. Happy Indian Village supports these kids to grow up with other children like them and teach them academics and basics of self-reliance so they can learn to take care of themselves and be safe.
